The short version is £140 to build, £7/month if you'd like us to keep running it, £195 whenever you'd rather own it outright. Here's the detail behind that.
We start with a free mock-up shaped around your business — not a stock template with your logo dropped in — so you can see the direction before anything's due. The £140 covers turning that into your finished, fully refined site: working through the specific details and requirements together, then building and launching it.
No — it's optional, but it's what keeps the site hosted, running, and covers small tweaks as you go. Without it, you'd need to sort out your own hosting, which most small business owners would rather not deal with. If you'd prefer not to pay monthly at all, buying the site outright (below) is usually the better fit.
A one-time £195 fee, whenever you decide — on day one right after the build, or years down the line. We hand over the actual code and help you get it set up under your own hosting and domain. There's no requirement to have been on the monthly plan first, and no discount for having paid monthly for a while — it's a flat £195 either way.
No. The £7/month can be cancelled any time, with no penalty and no minimum commitment. Cancelling stops billing straight away, but the site stays live for three months afterwards — giving you time to buy it outright, move it to your own hosting, or just pick the monthly back up. If none of that happens within the three months, the site comes down.
Just message us and we'll quote it separately. Small tweaks are already covered by the £7/month — it's only bigger changes, like a full redesign or a new section, that get a separate quote. Either way, it's never a surprise buried in your monthly fee.
Yes — if you've already got one, we'll set the site up on it. If not, we can help you register one as part of getting your site live.
You do. The domain is registered in your name, not ours — so it's yours regardless of what happens with the site, whether that's cancelling, switching to the outright-buy option, or moving somewhere else entirely.
No — never. Payments go straight from your customers to your own Stripe or PayPal account; we just build the checkout flow into your site. You'll pay the standard card processing fees Stripe or PayPal charge everyone (a small % per transaction), but nothing extra to us. What you charge is what you keep. Don't have a Stripe or PayPal account yet? We'll help you set one up as part of the build — it's a normal part of getting your site live.
Mostly, but not always. If you're a single-location business — a café, a barber, a trade, a maker, a studio — this is exactly what it's built for. If you need multi-currency, a large product catalogue, or a big app marketplace, you're likely better served by a mainstream builder. We'd rather say so upfront than take you on and be the wrong fit.
No. The tools running behind your site are built to handle far more than a typical small business sends or stores in a day, so there's plenty of headroom above normal use. On the rare chance you did outgrow that, we'd raise it with you before anything changed or cost more — it's never a surprise added to your bill.
Because you'd still be building it yourself, and paying for a lot of tools you'll never use. Mainstream builders are good at what they're built for — a big product catalogue, selling across many channels. But if you're a single-location café, barber, or trade, most of that is dead weight, and their advertised price rarely stays where it starts: add apps for booking, bundles, or forms and it's common to end up at £50–100+/month, not the ~£20–25 on the tin. We build the site around what you do — booking, ordering, or just being found — for a flat, small fee, and you can walk away owning it outright whenever you want. If you do need a big catalogue or multi-channel selling, a mainstream builder's the better tool for that — see “Is this a good fit for any small business?” above.
